The South African media is banking on a consolation triumph for the nation's cricketing triumph in the Twenty20 international mini-series in Sri Lanka and hopes that the country could be a contender for the limited-overs tournament silverware that has always eluded them.
According to Sport24, South Africa is just one further victory away from the two clashes scheduled for Hambantota on Sunday and Tuesday, to win the series.
The report said that confidence in Duminy's ability to aid the bowling cause quite fulsomely is only growing, which is a wonderful development when you consider that a certain Jacques Kallis, another key batsman who also bowls smartly, is in his twilight.
However, the report added that South Africa may not be able to defend a low total of 115 in every match and had to do better.
