Oprah Winfrey believes that President Barack Obama has frequently been targeted in and outside office because he is African American.
The talk show queen, who will be seen playing a White House butler's wife in Lee Daniels-helmed 'The Butler', recalled an incident to the BBC where Republican congressman Joe Wilson disrespected Obama by crying out "you lie" while the president was giving a speech to the Congress.
The 59-year-old star asserted that there is no doubt in her mind that the US president had to face some criticism because of his ethnicity.
Winfrey added that it's the kind of thing no one ever says, but everybody's thinking it.
