India's Leander Paes and Czech Radek Stepanek have captured their second Major title together after they beat Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares 6-1, 6-3 to win the US Open men's doubles title.
According to tennisworldusa.org, the event's second seeded men's doubles team of Bruno/Soares had struggled to gain any sort of rhythm on serve and they were up to 5 double faults in the match in the early stages of the second set.
The report said that Stepanek and Paes sustained their aggressive play, mounting an overwhelming count of winners over their opponents.
Leander, who won with his Czech partner Radek Stepanek, later praised the Czechs for their work ethic, with the women's doubles event also being won by Czecks Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka, and the mixed doubles winners again including Hlavackova.
