Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar have met Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office here to discuss regional and national security issues.
During the meeting, which was held on Friday, Khan was briefed on the Army's Operation Raad-ul-Fasaad, relations with Afghanistan, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) reforms and other security-related matters, Geo News reported.
On September 12, the 65-year-old cricketer-turned-politician had visited the ISI headquarters and lauded the intelligence agency's operations towards national security. During his visit, Khan was briefed on security, intelligence and strategic issues.
While addressing a gathering at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi last month, Khan had said that the government would provide all the necessary resources for maintaining the Army's capacity.
