Pakistan today celebrated 51st Defence Day with renewed pledge to defend the country against all odds.
The day dawned with 31gun salutes in federal and 21 in the provincial capitals.
After Fajr prayers, special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of the nation, reports Radio Pakistan.
In Karachi, a change of Guard ceremony took place at the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, where smartly turned out contingent of PAF Academy Risalpur, including six female cadets, took control charge of guards' responsibility.
In Lahore, a contingent of Rangers presented guard of honour at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal.
