Pakistani Academy Selection Committee has announced to submit Jamshed Mahmood's 'Moor' for nomination under Foreign Language Film Award category at the 88th Academy Awards.
According to reports, the film which is set against the decline of the railways system in Balochistan, was selected on majority vote basis during a meeting of the committee chaired by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, the Dawn reports.
Talking about the movie's selection, Mahmood said that with this submission to Oscars, their destination is now beyond hope and they believed that they have put their stepping stone in the right direction.
The Pakistani drama, which starred Hameed Sheikh and Samiya Mumtaz among others, revolves around the tragic story of a station master and his son after the sudden death of his wife.
