An indefinite dusk-to-dawn curfew was imposed across Mohmand Agency on Monday as security forces stepped up operations in the restive region.

According to the Dawn, curfew was imposed from 2 a.m. this morning. Residents were asked to stay home indefinitely via loudspeakers before the launching of an operation against the militants.

Meanwhile, troops have intensified patrolling across the agency.

According to the political administration, the measures have been taken after two separate attacks in the agency which left nine security officials dead.
