Defence expert Alok Bansal on Tuesday alleged that Pakistan, which has not taken apt steps to curb terrorism, is posturing for domestic audience with its move to raise the cancellation of the NSA-level talks with the United States.
"It was clearly stated in Ufa that a composite dialogue will be carried out but the environment should be good and that the first thing to discuss would be terrorism along with other issues. But Pakistan is not doing anything to stop terrorism neither they are showing any interest to stop it," Bansal said.
"Pakistan has been trying to raise the issue at every international platform. It is nothing but posturing for domestic audience," he added.
Bansal further said the fact is that the international community is fed up of this tactics.
"There is nothing going to be done by the US except for some lip service," he added.
Pakistan's Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz has said that the stalled dialogue between New Delhi and Islamabad will be discussed in the meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and US President Barack Obama on October 22 at the White House.
According to reports, he also alleged that Indian state institutions such as the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) were involved in 'terrorist activities' in Pakistan.
