The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday announced that final results of Pakistan elections will be out within 24 hours.
The Commission further stated that the Pakistan polls were conducted freely and fairly.
"Final results will come out within 24 hours. There is no delay in the results. Also, 90 per cent of results have been announced by returning officers in the field. We have received 82 per cent out of it," Election Commission of Pakistan told media here.
"Free and fair elections have been conducted. Turnout has been impressive, we will share the numbers tomorrow," the Commission added.
Meanwhile, Benazir Bhutto's daughter Bakhtawar took to social media and slammed the election commission over pending results.
She took to Twitter and said "More than 24 hours passed since polling ended, our Prime Minister Select has done his speech, but still no results of Chairman @BBhuttoZardari from #Lyari or #Larkana #WhatsGoingOn #Elections2018".
Earlier in the day, Former Maldives President congratulated Imran Khan for leading in the election. He took to Twitter stating "Congratulations @ImranKhanPTI . I wish you all the best."
While the final results are yet to be announced by the Pakistan's Election Commission, Imran Khan with 120 seats so far is a clear winner sweeping in five constituencies. He won from NA-131 (Lahore), NA-53 (Islamabad), Karachi (NA-243), Mianwali (NA-95) and Bannu (NA-35) seats respectively.
According to The Dawn, citing unofficial results, the PTI is leading at 120 seats, while PML-N (61 seats) and PPP (40 seats) are closing in at the second and third positions respectively.
Pakistan went to polls on Wednesday and the counting of votes began soon thereafter in the evening.
Various political parties and journalists have alleged the elections to be rigged in favour of Imran Khan.
