Pakistan has criticized the recent statement issued by Indian army chief General Bikram Singh as "unfortunate and provocative," which could lead to deterioration of ties between the two countries.
Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasneem Aslam said that Pakistan was doing its utmost to establish peace along the Line of Control (LoC) in disputed Kashmir region, Dawn News reports.
The reaction came to General Singh's statement warning Pakistan against ceasefire violations that India was not bound to follow the rules, if neighbours were up to breaking them.
