Pakistan has reiterated talks are the only way to promote peace and showed commitment to resolve all the disputes and conflicts with its neighbours through negotiations for shared economic prosperity.
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi said peaceful resolution of conflicts and disputes among all neighbouring countries will bring peace to the whole region, the Daily Times reports.
He advocated the role of parliaments to avoid conflicts and promote peace in the region in a high level meeting of the SAARC countries.
He also expressed hope on Beijing providing active support to make South Asia a peaceful and better place to live in.
Former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal Ramesh Naath Pandey stressed the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation among SAARC countries to gain more economic prosperity.
