The Pakistan Supreme Court (SC) today reserved its verdict on the Panama Leaks case and stated that a verdict would be announced at a later date.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, who is leading a five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court, completed hearing the case today.

The apex court remarked that a verdict will be announced after reviewing all angles of the case.

The bench during the proceedings today, upheld that documents presented by both parties could not be confirmed through verified sources, reports Geo News.

Asserting that Supreme Court was not a trial court that it verifies documents, Justice Ejaz Afzal questioned as to how can the apex court accept the documents without verification.

Responding to arguments in the court, PTI counsel asked as to how Hussain and Hassan Nawaz received funds for investment.

He added that Qatar investments were looking like profits from a bank.

The courtroom was packed with politicians and lawyers including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and leader Jehangir Tareen.

Jamat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed were also present in the courtroom.
