Pakistan on Tuesday successfully test fired a short range surface to surface ballistic missile Hatf III (Ghazanavi), capable of covering an intended range of 290 kilometers.
According to Dawn News, the successful launch concluded the ongoing field training exercise of strategic missile group of army strategic forces command.
Acknowledging it as another milestone that would strengthen the country's defence potential, Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif along with president Mamnoon Hussain and Gen Mahmood congratulated the team responsible for the successful launch of Ghaznavi Missile.
Meanwhile, Gen Mahmood also lauded the Pakistani troops on their technical and operational excellence in operating the state-of-the-art weapon system, the report added.
