Shahidullah Shahid, spokesperson for Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed that the group is loyal only to the Afghan Taliban supremo, Mullah Mohammad Omar (Mullah Omar), denying reports that the group has declared allegiance to Islamic State militants.
According to the Express Tribune, Shahid said that the TTP had only praised IS militants and advised them to show unity, setting differences aside.
The TTP chief Mullah Fazaullah praised IS militant group and showed complete support in his Eid message.
He said that the TTP was proud of the achievements of IS militants and that they should stand united with the TTP since the two groups had common enemies.
The message was sent via email in Pashto, Urdu and Arabic languages.
