Pakistan should learn the true nature of terrorism, says Naqvi

Minister of State for Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday said that after witnessing the gruesome terror attack on a school in Peshawar, that killed 141 people, including 132 students, Pakistan should learn the true nature of terrorism, adding that such acts go against the tenets of humanity.

"Pakistan should understand that the terrorists who have been aided and abetted by them have today turned on their very benefactors and have become a liability for that nation. Islamabad should understand that terrorism goes against humanity," Naqvi told the media.

Reacting to reports that Jama'at-ud-Da'wah (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed had blamed India for the Peshawar attack, Naqvi merely stated that terrorists are not anybody's friend.

"Pakistan should understand that terrorism and terrorists are not anybody's friend. There is no such thing as a good or bad terrorist. You cannot deem the Al Qaeda to be bad but Hafiz Saeed to be good," he stated.

On Tuesday, members of the banned terrorist outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacked the Army Public School in Peshawar. According to reports, the terrorists stormed the Peshawar school dressed as Frontier Corps' officers. One of the militants reportedly blew himself up, while the others were gunned down by security agencies. Hundreds of people were taken hostage within the school premises before the terrorists were eliminated.

After the incident, Saeed reportedly blamed India for the attacks and has allegedly vowed revenge, claiming the strikes were a conspiracy against Pakistan.
