Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to present himself for accountability for his alleged links with Panama Papers leaks.

Speaking to reporters after reaching Khangarh, the PPP chairman said that his party would organise a long march against the government if it did not accept the plan for accountability of those named in the Panama Papers leaks.

The Dawn quoted sources as saying that Bilawal was visiting Ghotki district to resolve some issues among the local PPP leaders.

The PPP leader was welcomed in Khangarh by the Mahar brothers, who have significant political control in Ghotki and reportedly had differences with some other heavyweights of the district.

Bilawal held a meeting with the Mahar brothers, Member of National Assembly Sardar Ali Gohar Khan Mahar, former chief minister of Sindh Ali Mohammad Mahar, Provincial Minister Sardar Mohammad Bux Mahar and Ali Nawaz Mahar and discussed with them the local political situation and problems of the district.

According to sources, Mahar brothers opposed the reported joining of the PPP by Nadir Akmal Laghari and Khalid Khan Lund and complained about unavailability of development funds.

Rahim Bux Bozdar's name was presented by the influential brothers for the district president of the PPP in Ghotki.
