A passenger is reportedly facing a hearing in a Hong Kong court for allegedly trying to hijack a plane after arming himself with a bar of Toblerone in order to visit the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Antii Oskari Manselius, who is from Finland, reportedly used a bar of the Swiss chocolate like a sword and wore a blanket as a cape in his attempt to hijack the plane and force the crew to land at Sochi for the Winter Olympics.

Manselius, who boarded the plance from Amsterdam, reportedly made a false bomb threat while on board the jet after the staff informed him that the flight would fly straight through Russia, without landing there, to Hong Kong, the Daily Star reported.

Manselius, who was arrested upon arrival in Hong Kong, told the hearing that he was only making 'fun and jokes' as he was trying to amuse his fellow passengers.

However, flight attendant Leung Hiu-lun told the hearing that Manselius made him feel like he was trying to endanger the craft, adding that the Finnish passenger had said that he is robbing the plane, as he wants to see the Olympics in Sochi and he needs to get off the plane.

Manselius was handcuffed by a fellow passenger and an aircrew safety trainer to his seat, post which the practical joker fell asleep after having a spot of breakfast and was arrested upon arrival in Hong Kong, the report added.
