Janata Dal (United) leader Sanjay Singh interpreted Ram Vilas Paswan's comment on Tuesday of not wanting to become the chief minister of Bihar as his expression of pain.

"His (Ram Vilas Paswan's) comment is a proof of his pain on not becoming the chief minister of Bihar," said Singh.

Earlier, Paswan had explained that he had the opportunity to become the CM of Bihar during the leadership of Atal Behari Vajpayee, but he himself chose not to take up the post.

"It has been the BJP's idea to bring up communal issues before every election. But the people of Bihar are quite aware and they will choose the right party for themselves," he told ANI.
