A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court placed two SIMI activists arrested from Chhattisgarh in connection with Bodh Gaya and Patna serial blasts in NIA remand for questioning for 13 days on Wednesday.
After being brought here from Raipur, the two SIMI activists - Umer Siddiqui and Azharuddin Kureshi - were produced before the Special Judge of designated NIA court, who passed the 13 day remand order.
The two SIMI activists will now appear before the same court and judge on December 18.
The two SIMI activists were arrested in Chhattisgarh in November in connection with serial bomb blasts in Bodh Gaya and at a rally of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Patna on October 27.
The NIA had asked for 15 days remand.
