Penelope Cruz and Diane Kruger are set to star in Isabel Coixet's upcoming film 'This Man, This Woman'.
The project, which has been penned by Frederic Raphael, is backed by Fortitude International co-founders, Nadine de Barros and Robert Ogden Barnum and founder Daniel Wagner, and producer Mike Lobell, Deadline.com reported.
Fortitude is taking care of the finances as well as foreign sales at the market, while Lobell is producing with De Barros and Barnum as exec producers.
The story revolves around an estranged man, Matt Heller, and a woman, Martha Parks (Cruz), who encounter each other by chance on a plane, and relive memories of their turbulent romantic relationship. Kruger will play the role Kirsty Sachs, a talk show host who has an affair with Heller and changes the course of his whirlwind relationship with Parks.
Lobell, who has been worin gon the project for a while now, said that it felt like a minor miracle to finally bring his "passion" to the screen and the dream cast including the superbly talented Penelope Cruz and Diane Kruger was just perfect to bring these multi-layered characters to life.
Coixet's new film, 'Nobody Wants The Night', is opening the 2015 Berlin International Film Festival.
