A Christian lawmaker has been killed by his personal guard in Quetta.
Handery Masieh was attending a meeting of his supporters from the ruling National Party outside his home, when his guard opened fire on him on Saturday. A nephew of Masieh was also hurt in the attack.
Masih died in hospital. A search is on for the escaped guard, who had been working with the lawmaker for the past 15 years.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has condemned the attack and offered his condolences to Masih's family.
