Peter Jackson has received his own brass star in a prime position on the famed sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard.
The Kiwi director was honored with the star placed near Nicole Kidman and Steven Spielberg and is located outside the home of the Academy Awards ceremony and the Dolby Theatre, Stuff.co.nz reported.
The three-time Oscar-winning filmmaker said that in 1974 when he visited this street of fame as a kid with his parents, he never even thought that he would ever receive his own star on the street.
Actors namely Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Richard Armitage, Elijah Wood, Jackson's producer wife, Fran Walsh and writer Philippa Boyens were present at the special event.
