A few family members of England batsman Kevin Pietersen were reportedly unable to find a seat in the MCG Members pavilion during the opening day of the Boxing Day Ashes Test, which saw a world-record crowd.
Four members of Pietersen's family, including his Afrikaner father Janni, found themselves wandering around the MCC Members unable to find a seat, following which Pietersen's father lobbed at the door of the MCC Committee Room, expressing his displeasure at not having an allocated seat.
According to News.com.au, when they were politely told that their tickets did not reserve seating, they demanded that seats to be found, following which the Committee Room's doorman eventually managed to procure four seats in the packed pavilion.
The report mentioned that soon afterwards, four members of retired England spinner Graeme Swann's family appeared with the same request and were also duly accommodated.
