Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius broke down and puked, reportedly pausing the proceedings in the court as he heard a pathologist give testimony on the autopsy details about his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp's injuries during his trial on Monday.
Pathologist Gert Saayman was reportedly interrupted by Pistorius' sobbing and retching while he was giving testimony on Reeva's injuries who was shot dead by Pistorius on Valentine's Day last year.
According to CNN, Judge Thokozile Masipa, who has been presiding over the weeklong trial in Pretoria, imposed a broadcast blackout earlier on Saayman't testimony and also extended the ban to live reporting on Twitter.
In court, Saayman confirmed that Reeva died from multiple gunshot wounds as she was hit in the head, arm and hip by three shots fired through the locked door of a toilet cubicle, the report added.
Throughout the testimony Pistorius appeared deeply physically distressed, repeatedly making retching sounds and at times appeared to cover his ears by clasping his hands behind his neck or by putting his fingers in his ears, the report mentioned.
Pistorius has admitted that he shot Reeva but maintains that he had mistaken his blonde girlfriend for an intruder who had broken into his home.
