Twenty-seven-year-old Blade Runner athlete Oscar Pistorius is said to have screamed 'Get the f*** out of my house!' before shooting his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, a court in Pretoria, South Africa, has been told.

Grilled by chief prosecutor Gerrie "The Pitbull" Nel for a fourth day on Monday, Pistorius wept as he described the moments before he killed Steenkamp.

According to the Daily Star, Nel accused Pistorius of doctoring his evidence.

The Olympics and Paralympics star has claimed he thought he was shooting at an intruder when he blasted the toilet door on Valentine's Day last year.

He was asked what he had been shouting before opening fire. In high-pitched sobs, Pistorius replied: "I screamed: 'Get the f*** out of my house!'"

Pistorius's crying forced the judge to adjourn the murder trial in Pretoria, South Africa, so he could compose himself.

Later Mr Nel put it to Pistorius that Reeva "fled for her life" as the athlete "shouted and screamed" at her during a blazing row. He again claimed he was lying and using his emotional state as "an escape".

Pistorius was also accused of "tailoring his evidence" and said that Reeva was getting dressed and wanted to leave the athlete's house shortly before the shooting.

Pistorius denies premeditated murder.
