An Air India plane mistakenly landed at a non-operational and under construction runway at the Male Velana International Airport in the Maldives on Friday.
The flight, AI 263, carrying 136 passengers, including crew onboard the plane, was flying from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala to Male. The two main wheels of the plane were deflated, according to flight tracking website, Flightradar 24.
All the passengers are safe and the aircraft has been towed to the parking bay.
Terming the incident as 'serious', the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that it informed the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) and both the pilots have been off rostered.
