PM congratulates President-elect Rowhani of Iran

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has congratulated President-elect Hasssan Rowhani of Iran on his election.

Dr. Singh in his congratulatory message said India and Iran enjoy deep historical and civilizational links, which have provided a strong foundation for our broad-based and mutually beneficial relationship.

"We look forward to strengthening this relationship further and harnessing its enormous potential in the coming years," he said.
