Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday delivered a keynote at Shangri-La hotel in Singapore as he called on nations to collectively address mutual insecurities and terror threats being faced by the countries across the world.
During his last leg of the three-nation visit to the Southeast Asian nations, Prime Minister Modi here delivered the note during which he called for a collaborative effort in countering the challenges, including terrorism, being faced by the global community.
"We will be able to ensure non-proliferation and secure our people from cyber threats and terrorism," Prime Minister Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the limitations of power and the benefits of international cooperation.
He said, "It summons to a higher purpose to rise above the narrow view of our interests and each of us can serve our interests and recognise that we can serve each other interests if work together as equals."
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi gifted his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong a replica of 6th-century Buddhagupta Stele.
He is further scheduled to attend a dinner hosted by Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Island Ballroom of the Shangri-La hotel.
