Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog on Thursday.
The NITI Aayog, which replaces the Planning Commission, aims to involve the states in the economic policy-making of India.
The formation of the NITI Aayog was announced on August 15 last year by the Prime Minister during his maiden Independence Day address from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
