Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated the M.S. Dhoni-led Indian cricket team for the stellar performance against Zimbabwe in the ICC Cricket World Cup.

"Couldn't catch up on the match but heard about the stellar performance by Team India against Zimbabwe. Congrats!" he tweeted.

Suresh Raina's maiden World Cup hundred and skipper Dhoni's 57th half-century helped India successfully chase the target of 288 set by Zimbabwe.

The duo shared an unbroken 196-run stand for the fifth wicket as India crushed Zimbabwe by six wickets in their final Pool-B game at Auckland.

Team India, which is already through to the quarterfinals, finished on top of Pool B with six wins in six matches.
