Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 24th death anniversary.
"Paying tributes to former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary," Prime Minister Modi said on twitter.
Earlier, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, along with her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, had paid tributes to her late husband at his memorial 'Vir Bhumi' in New Delhi.
Rajiv Gandhi became the victim of a suicide bomber in Tamil Nadu's Siriperambudur on May 21,1991, where he had gone for a poll campaign.
