PM Modi pays tribute at Wahat Al Karama

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the Emirati soldiers at the Wahat Al Karama memorial here on Sunday.

Raveesh Kumar, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs wrote in Twitter, "Inspiring way to begin another hectic day! PM @narendramodi paid tributes to brave soldiers of UAE who made ultimate sacrifice in the service of UAE at Wahat Al Karama, "Oasis of Dignity"! in Abu Dhabi, #MarhabaNamaste"

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and other United Arab Emirates' Government officials.

On Saturday evening, Prime Minister Modi arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after completing a successful historic visit in Palestine.

India and the UAE on Saturday signed five Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

Also, the Crown Prince hosted Prime Minister Modi for a dinner meeting at the palace. The Prime Minister was the first foreign leader to be invited to the palace by the Crown Prince.

Foreign Secretary Vijay K. Gokhale said that the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a friend.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to leave for Oman later in the day.
