Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to medieval Rajput warrior king Maharana Pratap on his 475th birth anniversary, saying his bravery and patriotism was an inspiration for innumerable Indians.

"Maharana Pratap's bravery and patriotism have inspired innumerable Indians. My tributes to this brave son of Mother India," Prime Minister Modi said on twitter.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had earlier stated that the Centre will celebrate Maharana Pratap's 475th birth anniversary all over the country in a big way and a committee had been formed at the Central level to commemorate the event.
