The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day trip to Bangladesh as a transformative one which will lay the second foundation stone for Indo-Bangla relations.
"It will be a transformative visit, laying second foundation stone for Indo-Bangla relations," said BJP spokesperson M J Akbar.
"Prime Minister Modi, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will build necessary environment to sort Teesta issue," he added.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Saturday morning for a two-day state visit, accompanied by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The Prime Minister had earlier stated that he was looking forward to his visit with a great sense of enthusiasm and delight.
