PM Modi to address conference on National Panchayati Raj Day
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a conference on National Panchayati Raj Day on Friday in order to highlight the steps taken by the government for the real devolution of administrative and financial powers.
Around 1,000 delegates, consisting of Panchayati Raj state ministers, senior officials from state government Panchayati Raj department and elected representatives for all three tiers of Panchayati Raj Institutions will be seen in attendance at the conference.
The best performing gram panchayats and gram sabhas will be honoured with Panchayat Sashaktikaran Award 2015 and Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Award 2015.
