Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday afternoon meet his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.
Confirming the news, the Prime Minister tweeted, "Spoke to PM Nawaz Sharif & wished him on his birthday. Looking forward to meeting PM Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today afternoon, where I will drop by on my way back to Delhi."
Prime Minister Modi had earlier today extended his wishes to Nawaz Sharif on his 65th birthday.
"I wish the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Nawaz Sharif on his birthday and pray that he remains in wonderful health," Prime Minister Modi said in a tweet.
Nawaz Sharif was born on 25 December 1949. He is the 18th and current Prime Minister of Pakistan in office since June 2013.
A veteran politician and industrialist, he previously served as Prime Minister from November 1990 to July 1993 and from February 1997 to October 1999.
