In the wake of growing political instability in the country, Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that matters were now out of politicians' hands and the military alone was capable of resolving the ongoing crisis in Pakistan.
Shujaat also accused former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and former army chief General (r) Ashfaq Pervez Kayani of being involved in rigging during 2013 general elections, Dawn reported.
Shujaat backed the military for acting as a mediator between the government and the protesting parties, calling it a viable solution to fix the crisis plaguing the country.
He further raised questions about the meetings between Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.
Chaudhry Shujaat criticized the parliament's joint sessions, saying that the lawmakers were only discussing ways to save their own skins, the report said.
