Police nabs IS suspect at Kozhikode Airport

Kozhikode Airport Police on Thursday registered a case against Riyadul Rahman on suspicion of him having links with the Islamic State (IS).

Rahman, a native of Kozhikode, had been absconding from Ras al-Khaimah in UAE.

The police apprehended Rahman based on the information given by two people, who were detained and interrogated by the special branch on Tuesday at Kozhikode Airport over alleged links with the Islamic State.

According to reports, the police suspect that IS is trying to attract the youths in the northern districts of Kerala through social media.
