Madhya Pradesh Police have seized illegal pistols from smugglers in Bhopal and detained four persons in the case.
Police personnel were conducting a regular check at a post when they caught a person with pistols on Wednesday.
"Our station officials were conducting checks at T.T. Nagar police post when they caught a man named Kuldip and seized illegal home-made pistols from him. On inquiry, they got to know that another partner, Dilip, was standing elsewhere and had weapons too. Police went there and seized home-made and other pistols from him. On inquiry, police also detained two persons named Arvind and Radhe Shyam," said Superintendent of Police, R.D. Bhardwaj.
Police recovered nine local pistols and three other pistols from the arrested men.
They also found out the smugglers supplied the weapons in Uttar Pradesh as well.
Search is underway for the others involved.
