Oh Tweet! Pope Francis has recently surpassed 22 million Twitter followers on his multiple accounts.
Tabloid media revealed that the 78-year-old Pope pulled in 29,000 new followers each day during his recent eight-day trip to South America, reported News24.com.
It is being said that out of all his accounts, his Spanish language account is the most popular, with over nine million followers while his English language account has 6.5 million followers.
Despite the uptick in followers, the pope still needs to catch up with U.S. President Barack Obama, who has over 60 million followers and American entertainer Katy Perry, who has about 72.5 million twitter followers.
