The Free Speech Coalition has recently announced a national moratorium on filming X-rated films after another performer was tested positive for HIV.
Diane Duke, CEO of the advocacy group for the adult film industry, which keeps a check on porn stars for STDs, said in a press release that they take the health of their performers very seriously, the Huffington Post reported.
Duke asserted that they felt that it was better to err on the side of caution while they determine whether anyone else may have been exposed.
The Free Speech Coalition said that the next steps will be to perform additional tests, determine a timeline and identify any first-generation partners of the person who tested positive.
Duke has, however, refused to identify the performer whose case prompted the latest moratorium.
Previous moratoriums were declared when porn stars and real-life couple Cameron Bay and Rod Daily were tested positive for HIV.
