Power2SME, TiE announce season 4 of the 'Spirit of Manufacturing Awards' at TiECon 2017

Power2SME - the leader in B2B ecommerce for MSMEs in India along with TiE Delhi-NCR brings to you the 4th season of 'Spirit of Manufacturing Awards' - the annual award series. Aligned with the theme of the 'Make in India' initiative the platform aims to acknowledge successful 'Made in India' stories and reward the spirit of entrepreneurship in the manufacturing sector. The award ceremony will be held in December 2017 in New Delhi, on the side-lines of TiECON 2017.

Manufacturing has emerged as one of the high growth sectors in India and with the 'Make in India' program, Govt. of India aims to give global recognition to India as world's manufacturing hub. With various policies to provide much needed boost to both large and small- medium enterprises, the manufacturing sector has also become hotbed for entrepreneurial activities.

Celebrating the contribution of young entrepreneurs the platform invites nominations from manufacturing startups with less than 10 years of existence.

Startups can simply log on to http://spiritofmanufacturing.com to nominate themselves in either of the four categories of awards - (1) Innovation & IT Adoption, (2) Social Impact, (3) Woman Entrepreneur of the Year and (4) Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Startup can nominate themselves in more than one category.

Talking about the launch of season 4 of this initiative in alliance with TiE, Mr. R Narayan, Founder and CEO, Power2SME said, "While India is paving its way to become a global manufacturing hub and is cheering for the great "Make in India" campaign, Power2SME along with TiE aims to take this enthusiasm to the next level with the 'Spirit of Manufacturing Awards' where the young manufacturing firms are at the center of the celebration and are recognized for the good work they are doing. With each passing year we come across novel products on this platform and this year too we look forward to more innovative ideas."

Selection process: Post the date of nomination is closed, a jury of renowned experts and industry veterans will conduct a pre-screening of all the applications received and a final list of contestants for the second round will be generated. The finalists will present their business model and innovation pursued to the jury members. The winners will be felicitated at the award ceremony scheduled to take place in December 2017, in New Delhi.

As the manufacturing startups continue to contribute towards making India a global manufacturing hub with innovative products, the Spirit of Manufacturing Awards will unfold yet another opportunity for the aspiring and budding entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations and potential, with its season four of the awards.
