Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has made her debut as a producer with the promotion of her romantic comedy Ishkq in Paris in Mumbai.
Zinta is set to return to the silver screen after a three-year sabbatical.
Directed by Prem Raj, the film is shot partly in Paris and India and is a story about a couple, two complete strangers, after having met on a train from Rome to Paris, end up spending the evening together in the romantic city.
They part ways the next morning and destiny makes them cross paths once again in Paris, eventually developing into a complicated romantic relationship.
Bollywood star, Salman Khan has appeared in a cameo for a song in the film.
The film will be a launching-pad for Zinta's as a producer and also stars actor Rhehan Malliek and French actress Isabelle Adjani, who make their debut in a Bollywood film.
"I think Ishkq in Paris would have never been possible, never been beautiful, and never been that amazing with anybody except Prem (director of the film Ishkq in Paris) because we started this journey together. We have gone through so much together, we have laughed, cried, jumped, screamed, we froze so I think in our destinies together, it was meant to be for Prem and I," said Zinta.
The 38-year old actress said that it was a challenge to shoot the film in such low temperatures in Paris.
Zinta was last seen in film 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna' with Salman Khan in 2009.
Talking about romance, an intrinsic part of the film, Malliek explained his concept of love.
"Well you think you are in love, you can identify a girl out of 100, when you are in love all hundred remind you of that one girl, that is love for me," said Malliek.
The film was earlier set to release on September 21, 2012, however it was delayed and will now hit the box office on May 24, 2013.
