President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his congratulations to tennis ace Leander Paes for his victory in the 'mixed doubles' category of the Australian Open.
The official twitter account of the Rashtrapati Bhavan shared the wishes extended by the President.
"Congratulations to Leander Paes on the Mixed Doubles win at the Australian Open# PresidentMukherjee," the office posted.
On Sunday, Paes and his Swiss partner Martina Hingis beat Daniel Nestor and Kristina Mladenovic 6-4, 6-3.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too had congratulated the pair on their victory.
