President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday extended his greetings to the government and the people of the Republic of Austria on the eve of their national day.
"On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and felicitations to your Excellency and to the friendly people of Austria on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of your National Day," he said in his message to his Austrian counterpart Dr. Heinz Fischer.
President Mukherjee said India-Austria relations are close, warm and friendly.
"I am sure that further expansion and diversification of bilateral exchanges will be to the mutual benefit of our peoples," President Mukherjee said.
"Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your personal well-being and good health, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Austria" he added.
