Prez to give away awards to children for their achievements on Children's Day
President Pranab Mukherjee will give away awards to children for their achievements on Children's Day tomorrow.
The awards are given away in two categories: Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award to individuals and National Award for Child Welfare to institutions and individuals.
The awards will be as follows:
1. National Child Awards for Exceptional Achievement, 2014:
20 silver medals, certificates, a cheque of Rs. 10,000/- to each silver medalist is given to children in the age group of 4-15 years.
2. National Awards for Child Welfare, 2013:

Four institutions and three individuals are being given the National Award for Child Welfare, 2013, which includes cash prize of Rs. 3,00,000/- to each institution and Rs. 1,00,000/- to each individual.
3. Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award, 2014:
Three individuals are being awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award, 2014 which includes cash prize of Rs. 1, 00,000/-, a certificate and a silver plaque.
