The Duchess of Cambridge delivered her first child Prince George Alexander Louis, naturally at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, it has been revealed.
According to a UK publication, 4 midwives monitored the royal baby, and the Queen's former gynaecologist watched behind the glass of Kate Middleton's suite throughout the 11-hour delivery, essentialmums.com reported.
Moreover, two top medics assisted in the birthing and made sure everything was according to the plan.
One of the medics, Marcus Setchell, postponed his retirement to supervise the birth of the child and the team of midwives covered shifts over a 24-hour period.
The UK tabloid also asserted that Middleton's calm demeanor and the gentle support of Prince William moved the medical team.
There were no problems, scares, or alarms, and everything went smoothly.
Neonatalist Dr Sunit Godambe, who was in charge of checking the health of the newborn, said that he was honoured to take part in the historic occasion.
