Prior slams Piers Morgan for claiming he 'openly criticised' Flower during England's Ashes tour

England wicketkeeper Matt Prior has dismissed allegations by British TV host Piers Morgan that he openly criticised former team director Andy Flower during England's disastrous Ashes tour.

The loudmouth broadcaster and former tabloid editor, who is a friend of the sacked Kevin Pietersen, claimed in a tweet that the former England vice-captain said in a team meeting after the fourth Test defeat in Melbourne that Flower is behaving like a 'headmaster', and that the 'dressing room' is a 'schoolboy environment'.

Morgan also claimed that Prior had used obscenities, following which an angry Prior slammed Morgan and described him as a 'bloke that knows very little about what goes on in the England set-up apart from rumour, gossip and hearsay from certain individuals, most of whom he would take with a pinch of salt'.

Stating that there is 'no story' in Morgan's claims, Prior also said that he is not the kind of person to divulge what is said in team meetings, although he added that Flower, captain Alastair Cook and the rest of his teammates know exactly what he said that and 'the way in which it was meant'.

Prior further said that it is just an attempt by Morgan to knock someone who has only ever had the team's best interests at heart and tried his best on and off the field to help the England cricket team, adding that he might have been 'recorded' or 'hacked' if the words he had said in the meeting had come out.

After his initial comments, Morgan asked Prior to 'sue him' if he (Prior) had not made the comments, in order to clear things up, and the report mentioned that the spat between Morgan and Prior comes the day after the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced that Pietersen's England career was over.
