South Africa skipper, Hashim Amla, has said that his team will take many positives from the first Test against Bangladesh that ended in a tame-draw at Chittagong.

The rain-curtailed Test match ended in a draw after bad weather washed out the final two days play without a ball being bowled.

Amla believes the team would take confidence from the way they returned back into the game, following a disappointing collapse with the bat, and the resilience with the ball in placid conditions, Sport24 reported.

Amla insisted he was optimistic of enforcing a win in the Proteas' favour, particularly because of the prospect of bowling to Bangladesh on a deteriorating fifth day's pitch.

He said that there were good contributions with both bat and ball, especially the bowlers who tried exceptionally hard and barred Bangladesh of getting a big lead.

He added that there was no use of getting frustrated by rain because no one has control over these things.

The two teams will lock horns in the second Test starting at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.
