South African bowling coach Allan Donald said that Dale Steyn will be carefully managed following the fast bowler being awarded the Wisden 'Cricketer of the Year 2013'.
Donald said that Steyn's well being is of utmost importance to the team and so they will make sure he is not over-played, Sport24 reports.
The South African legend said that the consistency Steyn has displayed was an example for all, adding that he was won the team a lot of games.
Steyn became only the second South African in the last 40 years to win the award, which was won by Jacques Kallis in 2007 and Barry Richards in 1973, the report added.
